Erin Smith

A sixth-generation Floridian, Erin comes from a strong agricultural background, having grown up on her family’s citrus and cow/calf operation. While that side of the business has since scaled down, her family now owns and operates a feed store.

Erin’s passion for agriculture led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree at Warner University, where she gained hands-on experience through an internship as a pest and disease scout and worked in public relations for an agricultural firm. After graduation, she served as a program specialist at her local Farm Service Agency office—an experience that sparked her desire to support producers more directly. Over the past six years, Erin has worked as an agriculture loan officer, serving producers across the Southeast and leading business development efforts.

Heavily involved in her agriculture community, Erin is a board member of Youth Leaders in Production Agriculture and is an active member in multiple agriculture organizations. Her strong passion for serving the agriculture community and playing a part to sustain the industry is what led her to her position with Legacy Farmer today. She is excited to be part of a team whose mission and core values align with her own.
