Why this company exists
The Founder Lived the Problem Twice.
In the summer of 2005, Jace Young was a high schooler in western Kansas when his family lost their farm - the operation his parents had spent their lives building, walked away from. Not for want of farming. For want of the business around it.
Then he saw it from the other side of the desk. As an ag loan officer he watched family after family come through with the same missing piece: no financial organization, no structure, no systems - good farmers running blind, and nobody teaching them otherwise.
Legacy Farmer is the answer to both of those rooms. Founded in 2019 as a coaching program, it hit the wall every teacher of this material hits - the tools the families needed did not exist - and became a company that builds them: the coaching, the Farmer Metrics operating system, and the community, one Legacy Journey across all three.

How the business works
Three Engines, One Flywheel.
The Coaching
Recurring coaching and consulting relationships with member families, delivered by business coaches hired for one thing above all: ag-financial backgrounds and expertise. Every coach can read a balance sheet the way a lender does, because that is the job.
The Software
Farmer Metrics, the financial operating system the whole Legacy Journey runs on - built in-house by our own engineering team, so the product and the coaching evolve together instead of waiting on a vendor.
The Community
A few hundred families comparing notes across the continent. It compounds: every family that wins makes the next family's decision easier, and nobody leaves the room that solved their problem.
The coaching makes the software indispensable, the software makes the coaching stick, and the community keeps both compounding. Nothing here requires anything else here - but the families who use all three are the ones on camera.
